Student Led Conferences

Last week we had Student Led Conferences.  This is when our parents make a time to come and visit our class.  Then we tell them what we are learning, what level we are and how we are going to get to the next one.
First we - Introduce our parents to the teacher.  We knocked on the door, greeted the teacher and introduced each of our parents.
Second we - Asked them nicely to sign our visitors book.
Third we - Seated our parents.  We had to pull of the chairs first for mum and dad and then sit between them.
Fourth we - Discussed our learning.  Using the sheet we had written up we shared with our parents what level we were working at for Reading, Writing and Maths.   Sometimes this is difficult but we did it.  We showed them examples in our books to support what we were saying.
Fifth we - Showed our parents around the room.  We shared the powerpoint presentations we had made on the brain and our class Blog.
Sixth we - Asked our parents if there was anything else they wanted to ask our teacher.  Then they signed a certificate for us.

    1. We have student led conferences to you can celebrate with your family all the awesome things that you do at school. It means they know where you are, what you are learning and what they can help you with. Did you like them? What did you tell your parents?
