More about our Metaphor

Chase Says - This is our class metaphor and we follow it so we know which street to go down.

Ethan Says - we have to be footsy with our virtues and choose the right street.  it means we be good and do what the teacher says and so we can learn.

Neil Says - We always use our virtues so we can have a fun life and choose the right street

Ryan Says - Just in case people don't know what our virtues is we are going to post them shortly!  Watch this space.

This is Ella with her footsy feet and foost MO.

Ella Says - Do you like my Moustache?  I am the Lorax from Dr Seuss.  All of our class shows the virtues.

Miss Hammond Says - Our Virtues Metaphor is linked to "Oh, the places you'll go," By Dr Seuss.  I have loved this story since I was little.  It represents the good and bad that life can throw at you and puts an emphasis on it being the readers responsibility to choose the right streets and not be afraid or scared if you don't.  This for me sums up life and teaching.

Animated version of the book - "Oh, the places you'll go"

  7. When you remind me :-) We can put anything you like on here, its your blog. Its about what you want the world to know about us. If you think that they would like to know about ANZAC then that exactly what we will tell them about. But question? Are we goign to need to do some inquiry? will they know wjho ANZAC is? And how he got his name?

  10. oh so we haft to finish of our inqiury that we are doing now so we can move on to the inquiry about ANZAC.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Absolutely not. If you are interested in how and why ANZAC got his name, then that's what you should do. Inquiry is about asking a question and finding your own answers. In class we are looking at how to be a life long learner so that you have the skills to be able to follow your own questions.

Why don't you take on the this inquiry yourself and we will post your findings?

  13. Yes, as a class you needed to have done the work before sharing it by putting on that wall.

So, if you take on the responsibility of inquiring about ANZAC day, when you are ready we will post it on here.

I will look into those websites, thank you for sharing.

No,you are not keeping me up. Remember you are the one who needs 11-12 hours of sleep. Us adults only need 8-9 hours. I still got time :-)

Of course i will tell you why he is called ANZAC. The question is, what does ANZAC mean?
