Pukeko

Ethan Says - today we were learning about proportion by drawing pukekos.  First we drew the curve of the body and then we did the tummy and the beak.  We started to do the legs and the outlines.  Next we are going to use vivid to draw the outlines and the use pastels to colour them in.

Why are we doing pukekos you might ask?

Jake Says - Because we are in Pukeko House, Blue House, which is one of the groups our school is split into.  There is also Red - Weka, Green - Kereru and Yellow - Kea.  We compete with each other at different events to earn house points.  At the end of the year if our house wins we get a trophy and pleasure of winning!
